Complete control over your calendar
Share single-use links with first dates, busy/free views with casual acquaintances, event titles with trusted friends, or a full partner overlay.
Effortless group coordination
Find overlapping free time across multiple schedules, propose up to 3 candidate times, and let group members vote in-app or via SMS links.
Two-way couple & roommate view
See your partner’s busy blocks directly on your calendar with a distinct color overlay. Avoid conflicts without account sharing or joint inboxes.
No app download for friends
Recipients open your link via text, select a time, and get automated SMS check-ins and .ics calendar files without ever creating an account.
Two-way Google Calendar sync
SoCal checks your Google Calendar for busy times every 15 minutes and adds confirmed plans back to it, so both calendars stay in step.
How SoCal works
From setting your availability to confirming a hangout, here is how easy social scheduling should be.
1
Sync & set availability
Connect Google Calendar so SoCal knows when you’re busy and can add confirmed plans, then set recurring availability for your free hours, gym time, or open weekends.
2
Share your link
Send your standard share link to friends or generate a single-use guest link with an automatic 7-day expiration via SMS.
3
Request or vote
Friends pick a time or vote on up to 3 proposed group times. Non-users vote via SMS magic link without creating an account.
4
Confirm & meet
Confirmed meetups generate SMS notifications and .ics calendar invites, plus automated pre-meeting SMS check-ins sent before the meetup.

Frequently asked questions
Clear answers to common questions about SoCal's privacy, calendar sync, and permission controls.
Do my friends need to create a SoCal account to respond to my invite?
No. Friends respond from their web browser, without creating an account or downloading anything.
How does Google Calendar integration work?
Connect your Google account and SoCal checks your calendar for busy times, so friends only see when you’re free. When a plan is confirmed, SoCal adds it to your Google Calendar.
What control do I have over who sees my availability?
You choose per contact: free and busy times only, event titles, or a full partner overlay. One-time guest links show only the times you open up, and they expire.
Can I use SoCal if I use Apple Calendar?
Not directly. SoCal syncs with Google Calendar. You can still set your free times by hand, and every confirmed plan comes with a calendar invite you can add to Apple Calendar.
Is SoCal a professional booking tool like Calendly?
No. SoCal is built for friends, partners and groups, not client meetings. It works alongside your existing calendar to take the back-and-forth out of social plans.
